In isolation and under sanctions

Hi all, I'm from Russia and I don't know where to write to Serei - which domain. I'll probably write to Global. I want to share my thoughts with the whole world. 

After the well-known events, Russia found itself in isolation. I'm not talking about travel, I'm talking about the fact that Russian people found themselves out of respect and dignity. Ordinary citizens have ceased to be friends to the world. We don't know what to say or how to say it, for fear of hurting our comrades' feelings. We don't know how to make jokes and it is okay to do so. More often than not, we prefer to remain silent, even in response to accusations from those who are also far removed from politics. 

What is our fault? That we didn't go out to rallies? We live in a police state. The Constitution prescribes freedom of speech, but for the third day in a row the democratic media have been shut down - the law on fakes has come into force. Under this law, you can get a fine of up to one and a half million roubles ($14,176.35 at current exchange rates) or up to 15 years in prison for a single word. Rallies were held today. 4,400 people were detained. Will something change in government policy? Unlikely...

What else are we seeing? Rising prices. According to the most conservative estimates, prices have risen by one and a half times, in some cases twice as much. Large shops are restricting single-handed sales of goods. This applies to sugar, cereals and other important products. 

I do not want war, I do not want the anger and spite that we see on all sides. I just want to live and take care of my own, I am tired of fighting windmills. 

I long for world peace!
