London Derby: Chelsea vs Arsenal

I’ve not been able to make a post these past days because I’ve not been feeling well but it’s good to be back and blogging again.

 

It’s one city to the whole world, it’s the most anticipated London derby today as The blues host  the gunners at the bridge today.

 

dropping out of the top four after an embarrassing 4-1 defeat to Brighton Chelsea set to face a much greater trial today as they host their London rivals Arsenal. The blues calmed the stormed with a 2-1 victory in the UEFA champions league against GNK Dinamo Zagreb with Denis Zakaria scoring the Match winner in his Chelsea debut. The Blues will be looking to pick up their first win over a ‘big six’ rival which will be a hard nut to crack as they haven’t beaten Arsenal at the bridge since August 2018 ( 2 losses and 1 draw) though Chelsea are unbeaten at the bridge this campaign.

 

Already being the favorites going into this game , the gunners look to capitalize on Chelsea’s injuries today. The gunners have only dropped  8 points across all competitions this season and are the only side to score in each of their premier league games this campaign. Arsenal followed their ruthless 5-0 victory over Nottingham Forest last weekend with a 1-0 win over Zurich in the UEFA Europa league a win I wouldn’t say they much deserved.

Arsenal’s head coach mikel Arteta will be looking for an improved performance for their last game as all the points his side has dropped have been at away( 2 losses and 1 draw), but this won’t hold them back as their looking for their first premier league tittle since 2004. And they’re on course as they lead tittle holders Manchester city by two points.

Players To Watch

Former Gunners skipper and goals scorer  Pierre Emerick Aubameyang might lead the attack for Chelsea against his former teammates.

 

After picking an injury in their last premier league game the Englishman Bukayo Saka is back to the starting lineup today.
