*TOPIC: TRUST IN GOD'S WORD*

📖 *TODAY'S TEXT:*
Jeremiah 36: 22-28

🔑 *KEY VERSE:*
"Take thee again another roll, and write in it all the former words that were in the first roll, which Jehoiakim the king of Judah hath burned" (Jer. 36:28).

🖊️ *COMMENTARY*
Over the centuries down the ages, men have tried their utmost best to see stamp God's Word out of existence. But as someone once said, "It will survive every attempt to destroy it, modify it, nullify it, weaken, or ban it. Jesus said that heaven and earth would pass away, but His Word would never disappear (Luke 21:33). The Psalmist declared that God's Word was 'forever settled in heaven' (Psalm 119:89)."

Jehoiakim, the king of the ancient kingdom of Judah, thought that he could destroy the Word of God sent to him because it didn't favour him but God said, "No, you can burn the scroll on which the Word is written on earth but have the original in heaven."

In 2023, a video went viral showing a burnt house in which the only surviving item was a Bible sitting on top of a lap top that was completely burnt. Law enforcement officers saw it and did a video celebrating God's ability to protect His Word.

If God has been taking such great care over His Words, it means that He values it greatly. As a child of God, value the Word and allow it to govern your life into all-round profitability.

Father, help me to trust completely on the integrity of your Word, knowing it doesn't fall, lie and disappoint.
