TOPIC: GOD IS NOT CARELESS

📖 TODAY'S TEXT:
Jeremiah 29:4-14

🔑 KEY VERSE:
"For I know what I have planned for you, to prosper you, not to harm you. I have plans to give you a future filled with hope" (Jeremiah 29:11, NET).

🖊️ COMMENTARY
The Most High has plans for every child of His. He created every man and woman for a purpose. He saved us for His Glory and for our blessing. What we do with the unlimited opportunities available is our lot in life. As the above text states, God's plan is for our good. The ability to extract definite instruction and directive in relation to the task at hand and obey is the acid of "to be or not to be." While the Devil's plot is to kill, destroy and steal; the plans of God is that we might have abundant life. Jesus came to give forgiveness, grace, life and prosperity. Never doubt God's ability and concern for your life.

In the 100 years' war between England and France at the Battle of Grey, on the 26th August, 1346, the English warriors were led by King Edward III. A vital battalion was led by the prince the son of the king. The king mounted at a strategic post to read the war so as to send assistance, reinforcements or pull out orders. Soon after the battle started, the prince misread the battle and sent a messenger to his father for reinforcement. His father ignored the request.

After a little while, he sent another messenger to his dad, requesting for reinforcement else they all would perish. The king said "l am not so careless not to care for the welfare of my son, neither am I so inexperienced as not to know when he needs assistance go and tell my son." The English Warriors eventually won the battle at Grey.

Many a time, we doubt God's concern and faithfulness. He is our father who specializes in giving the best. Follow His words, instructions, directives and you will land unhurt.
