2024 Batch C Stream II Corps Members deployed to Rivers State have been cautioned to have a "positive attitude to life especially when it is considered that their habit will determine the success of their life"
The Director, Ventures Management NYSC National Directorate headquarters Abuja, Prince Mohammed Momoh stated this today at the NYSC permanent orientation camp, Nonwa-Gbam, Tai LGA when he addressed the Corps Members.
Speaking further, he charged them to imbibe the invaluable attributes of "determination, dedication and discipline in building a successful career in life.
He informed the Corps Members that they must be conscious of the fact that they are the "most important segment of the orientation exercise, hence, they must be disciplined and committed to the core values and lessons taught at the exercise in order to benefit maximally from it."
In conclusion, he warned the Corps Members against association with "persons of questionable character and dubious means of livelihood as well as not to travel beyond 6.00pm when on authorised pass to travel.
In his camp situation report, Mr. Moses Oleghe, the State Coordinator NYSC Rivers State informed the Director that the Corps Members represent "a huge hope for Nigeria judging by their patriotic and exemplary conduct and respect to constituted authority since their stay on camp."
He appreciated the governor and government of Rivers State for their commitment and dedication in supporting the programmes and activities of the scheme.
He assured that his administration will remain focused on improving and uplifting the fortunes of the NYSC Scheme in Rivers State.
The director was welcomed to the camp with funfair amidst inspection of camp facilities.
