BTC – Bitcoin
HODL- The act of holding on to a coin for the long term instead selling.
Altcoin – Every other cryptocurrency that is not bitcoin Example: Ethere-
um, Ripple, Doge etc.
BTD - Buy the dip
DIP- When the market is down
FOMO- Fear of missing out, this occur when a coin is rising in value and
you considering buy at that higher price knowing that you might be late.
MOON- when everybody wants their coin to go up in value (to the moon
as the name suggest)
Shit coins- Coin with no real value
Bag Holder- someone who is holding a lot of coins in the hope that the
value will go up in the future
Dumping –Decision to sell a coin or downward movement in price
Pumping- Upward movement in price or coordinated effort to buy a lot of
coin to move the price up
P2P- Peer-to-peer
DYOR- Do your own research
DYDD- Do your due diligence
FUD- fear, uncertainty and doubt
Whale- a super wealthy trader with lots of coins or lots of money to buy
coins
Mining – the process of verifying transactions on the blockchain in ex-
change for block rewards, these rewards are inform of cryptocurrency
Bullish- expectation of upward movement in price
Bearish- downward movement in price
Exchange-Websites that allows you to buy and sell coins (Binance)
Fiat currency- Government issued currency
TA- Technical analysis
FA- Fundamental analysis
ATH- All time high
DEFI- Decentralised finance
MCAP- Market capitalization
