TOPIC: SINNING IS FOOLISH

📖 TODAY'S TEXT:

Ecclesiastes 7:23- 25

🔑 KEY VERSE:

"I applied mine heart to know, and to search, and to seek out Wisdom, and the reason of things, and to know the wickedness of; folly, even of foolishness and madness" (Eccl. 7:25).

🖊️ COMMENTARY

A young man was arrested last vear in Lagos State, Nigeria for throwing away, paints worth N1.5 million in order to steal the buckets and sell them for N1000 each.

A trending video shows the moment he was apprehended and was

being quizzed for carrying out the rather shocking crime. He could not give any reasonable explanation as to why he added so much stupidity to the foolishness of his sin.

Sin is often symbolized by darkness and darkness is associated with lack of Godly knowledge. Each time a person sins, he makes a choice in favour of darkness and rejects the light of righteousness.

No wonder the Apostle Paul said to the Ephesians, "And have no fellowship with the unfruitful works of darkness, but rather reprove them.

But all things that are reproved are made manifest by the light: for whatsoever doth make manifest is light" (Eph. 5:21, 23).

Even King Solomon the wise tried to understand why men do so many foolish things in the name of sin but he ended up abandoning his experiments when he concluded that sin is always foolish. So, step back, don't do those foolish things called sin ever again in your life since it doesn't agree with your new nature of light in Christ Jesus.
