TOPIC: GOD HAS GOOD PLANS FOR YOU

📖 TODAY'S TEXT:

Jeremiah 29:10-14

🔑 KEY VERSE:

"For I know the plans I have for you declares the Lord, plans for welfare and not calamity to give you a future and a hope" (Jer. 29:11).

🖊️ COMMENTARY

Beloved, understand this morning that God has good plans for you great and wonderful plans. The events and happenings around your life right now might seem and suggest otherwise, but do not be deterred. Jehovah formed and put you inside your mother's womb with a carefully drafted blueprint of a glorious future. Bring yourself to this conviction this morning and approach your day hoping for the best.

If we contrast our key verse with the reality of Israel's condition at the time nothing between the two would make any sense. The children of Israel were going to be taken into captivity for seventy years.They were to be exiles and slaves at faraway Babylon. Yet God was telling them "I know the plans I have for you...." It is worthy of note that God never promised His children a life of no pains. But He assured His children the following "When you pass through the waters, I will be with you; and through the fire. You will not be scorched, nor will the flame burn you' (Isa.43:2).

Beloved, stop worrying over any troubles plaguing your life at the moment. Calm your mind; get over your panic; recollect your composure. The Almighty God is telling you, "I have plans for welfare and not for calamity to give you a future and a hope" (Jer. 29:11) so then, rest assured. There is a great and wonderful future ahead for you. God have Good things in-store for you. Expect them today!
