*TOPIC: PASS OVER ARMED*

🔑 *KEY VERSE:* 

"...the Lord your God hath given you this land to possess it, Ye shall pass over armed before the brethren..." (Deut. 3:18).

Deuteronomy 3:15-20

🖊️ *COMMENTARY* 

God's infinite wisdom of all things is shown sometimes when He blesses us or settles us first so that we can help others settle or attain a goal. In this passage, we saw how God divided the cities of Bashan and Heshbon that the children of Israel conquered and settled the children of Gad and Rueben in as their inheritance. After God settled them in their rights, He also told them to pass over armed to help their brethren fight in the wars of conquest of Canaan. He told them to leave their wives and children and animals to settle down while they went to help their brothers to settle. God told them not to rest until they helped their brethren to finally settle in inheritances.

By this one can see that sometimes God gives some of us victory or settlement so that He can use it to help others reach their own goals. He gives us settlement financially, career-wise, and health-wise, in our family, and our lives so that we can use our settlement to help others. God enables us to at times pass over armed with our companions, siblings, friends, brothers, or sisters in Christ. We must obey. This is what God wants us as Christians to understand and embody. We should show love to one another and help each other reach to get to our respective Canaans.

This demands of the Christian not to be stingy with the blessings God has given him. God blesses or settles us so that we will be someone else's solution provider. Stinginess should not be in the arsenal of a settled Christian. He has to have an open heart and mind to receive leading from God and act out on the leading of God. We must help our brothers in any way the Lord tells us to so that they reach their lands. This is the reason why many of us are blessed and settled, but we have not been utilizing our settlements to help others. Let us from now on use our settlements and pass over armed to our brothers to secure their settlements.
