TOPIC: WHY SERVE GOD AS A CHRISTIAN YOUTH?

📖 TODAY'S TEXT:
Ecclesiastes 12:1-8

🔑 KEY VERSE:
"Remember now your creator in the days of your youth, before the evil days come, nor the years draw near, when you will say, I have no pleasure in them" (Ecclesiastes 12:1).

🖊️ COMMENTARY
The youthful time is a very important stage in life. It is a time when one needs to lay a solid foundation in serving the Lord. It is the foundation you laid as a youth; that you will build on as you grow older in life. The youthful time is the best time to serve the Lord because during that time you have less to worry and care about.

The first reason you should serve God in your youthful age is because He is your creator, who knows the plans He has for your life and what the future holds for you. Another reason why you should serve God as a youth is that, His grace would make the temptations of life easy to bear and overcome.

Finally, when you serve God as a youth, He gives you a strong assurance of a better and brighter future. This assurance which is based on the Word of God, "For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, saith the Lord, thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you an expected end'", Jerem. 29:11, keeps you firing and moving on in life despite whatever comes your way.

Keep on serving God as a Christian youth. It pays to serve Him. You are better of serving Him than the devil. The future before you is better than you can imagine. Bravo!
