2 Things that caused the scientific and political revolution in Europe

I believe that it has nothing to do with race. From the evolutionary perspective, we are all from just one race.

Diversity in Europe, created by the geographical structure of the land with its Mediterranean sea cutting through Europe, Africa and Asia like a knife separating different countries. Creating separations that allowed different cultures to develop. The odd thin long shape of Europe with Italy looking like a boot in the sea, Spain stretching to the South almost connected to Africa, Britain as a huge isolated island, the Scandinavian countries all the way up North isolated from the rest. On the other side of the Mediterranean you have Africa with Egypt (first civilization on earth), Arabia, and the Asian part of maybe Iraq and Iran, also a rich history of cultural progress.

You had thousands of cultures, values, religions that competed against each other. Empires came and go, languages spread and disappeared. Political systems and philosophies emerged, tested and innovated. Achieving a competitive edge was the invisible hand that pushed Europe forward and triggered the revolutions.

This contrary to China, a country with a longer history of civilization, was homogeneous. everyone talking the same language, sharing same culture. All this homogeneousness had its major weakness that it could be conquered as a whole. From the richest region (largest economy) in the world in the 19th century, to a starving nation under communism.

What we can learn from this from a Cambodian perspective? Stop looking to people by nationality, but instead as individuals with his or her unique set of values. It doesn't matter if you are black, or white or Chinese or Indian or Aboriginal or even Vietnamese. You are a human being like any other person on this planet. Diversity is an evolutionary blessing
