Larry Kudlow is an economic advisor at the White House. He is one of the top economists who has advised President Donald Trump. Kudlow was one of the key speakers at the Conservative Political Action Conference (CPAC), the largest annual gathering of conservative activists. CPAC is considered an important yearly meeting as many important policies and discussed there. Kudlow was joined on the stage by well-known political figures like Ivanka Trump, older daughter and advisor of President Trump, when he spoke about the country’s economy.
The American economy has taken a hit in the past few days since the coronavirus outbreak. While the fear of the coronavirus is gripping the public and the economy, Kudlow downplayed the impacts of the virus on the stock exchange, even when it was down ten percent.
According to Kudlow, it is the socialist democrats who could destroy the economy, and not the coronavirus. He was speaking about the financial situation of the USA with Ivanka Trump. He recognized that the stock market was suffering due to the coronavirus but seemed optimistic about other aspects of the economy.
He tried to justify his stance by explaining that the free market has made the US health-care system the best system in the world. Hinting towards the possibility of President Trump running against Senator Bernie Sanders, Kudlow said that they were ready for a socialist nominee to compete against the President and show everyone that the American model of the economy is superior to socialism.
Moreover, he encouraged people to buy stocks even if they were declining because of coronavirus. But Kudlow, along with Ivanka, believes that long-term investors should not be worried at all because the country’s overall economy is in good condition as domestic investments and personal income have increased. There is no breakdown in the supply chain, he added.
Ivanka supported Kudlow’s claims of the economy performing well by stating that the Trump administration has managed to bring down the unemployment rate to its lowest in every US demographic. Moreover, the number of women in the labor industry has exceeded the number of men, which is a testament to the success of the economy.
