"Don’t expect someone to understand your journey, especially if they've never walked your path.
Sometimes growth is so personal that it needs to be done alone. That means that you may not wish to share it with everyone, or anyone, for that matter.
Life happens and sometimes it happens so catastrophically that we are irrevocably get changed by it. We may end up heading in a completely different direction for the rest of our journey.
In cases of trauma, grief, loss, or some other disaster, we may be forced to grow in a way we didn’t ask for, but that leaves us very different to our old selves.
Expecting others to always “get it” when no one will ever sail the exact same path as you will, leave you with a case of the being disappointed, dissatisfied, disconnected.
We all want to be understood. We all want to be seen and heard because sharing ourselves helps us to make sense of our own journey. But we have to realize that sometimes the only person who can understand our journey is us. So we should mind our expectation.
The truth is that no one needs to understand your journey but you. As seeking validation from others may undermine the inherent value in your evolution. Therefore celebrate your own transformation. You know how far you’ve come.
Here’s to connect with ourselves and with other people. And here’s to have respect for ourselves and for others, to love more when needed and to let go when needed on our journey."
Have the courage to step toward what you want, what you think you may be able to achieve and strive toward becoming who you have the possibility to be.
Choose the journey you are on intentionally, for a reason.
Use your learning through pain and suffering into lessons of service and healing for others!
Let go of seeking the perfection that will please the world because it does not matter. What matters is a peace found within yourself when you give yourself permission to live the life that you really love, and to step into the amazing person you have the potential to become if only you would be willing to go there, do the necessary work, invest the time called-for and apply the lessons you have learned so far!
Be patient with yourself and be proud of how far you have already come on your journey.
If you look back you will see that you're not the same person you were a year ago, or even a week ago.
Once we are conscious of our inner growth the only way is forward.
Much Love.
