I want to connect sata to fideco which connects to the wall power and to my ubuntu asus laptop via USB. I want the drive to have compatibility with DVD+RW and DVD-RW and many formats. in 2003, i copied VHS home videos from a camcorder to DVD but some discs were unfinalized. I want a drive that can read any format. But the discs have scratches. i want an as is copy of the original VHS recorded via camcorders from 1996-2003, some the full size VHS and a few were the smaller VHS-C size. I do not mind a vhs to digital device but prefer not to upscale pixels, i just want an exact as is copy. when I asked AI for years, AI generally says my videos were probably under 720p or 480p originally. Tho it might be a debate as converting analog to digital might be tricky as analog might not have pixels so to speak some say making it a question of how many pixels might it mean for a perfect as is copy. I need all the top cons for these VHS to digital machines, compare this main to digital machine option to my other options like directly to my laptop, VCR DVD machine combos, other machines, etc.
