Should I work at camps?
I used to work at camps in New York, California, and even Oregon, since 2004. One of my favorite jobs in the world.
I attended different churches, clubs, and youth groups growing up. As a kid, I attended Vacation Bible School (VBS), Seattle Splash, other church camps like with Word Of Life and The Salvation Army say for example, since like the 1990s. After that, I was a camp counselor at snow camps and summer camps.
One of my favorites was when I was a Wilderness Counselor at Camp Kuratli in Oregon in 2007 and 2008. Worked on the Children Ministry Team (CMT) where we ran events in different states on the East Coast. I also did Revolution Hawaii. Worked at a school in Portland, OR. I also enjoyed working at Camp Redwood Glen in California in 2010. After that, I taught English in Vietnam in 2012 for five years.
I sometimes feel like I'm not totally sure where I belong in this world as I've lived in different states and countries doing different jobs, I have a wide variety of mixed feelings about so many different things, I'm not going to completely bore you right now with all of the details except to say that I'm trying to remain open-minded regarding this fork in the road that I'm currently at.
Feel free to suggest what I should do regarding job opportunities and everything else.
I worked with amazing people over the years, if they suddenly wanted me to work at their camp or something else, I would probably want to think about it.
Long story short, I've had many jobs in my life, I have many mixed feelings about them, so many pros and cons, I have a lot to say about so many things. I enjoyed working with different people but the problem is I'm only one person and I cannot work with everybody everywhere doing everything all of the time. I often want to do everything. I have a never ending list of things I do and try to do going back decades.
What worries me is becoming even more busy than I already am, I'm constantly buried in work daily. Therefore, I should try to tighten up my long list of priorities. I still feel like I'm in the middle of a never ending list of decisions, I often feel like I'm ten or even twenty years behind schedule with all of the life goals I made myself over the years, I turned 40 years old in 2025 (three months ago), I'm driving, I'm getting things done. So, my plan is to continue to take it a day at a time.
How do you eat an oatmeal elephant? One bite at a time.

Try using different combinations of words in search engines for better results. Went to bed around 3:30 AM. Woke up around 9:30 AM. Teeth hurting around 10:15 AM. Breakfast: 10:25 AM. Exodus study at noon. Prayer. Lunch: 01:30 PM. Drove towards the high school, left turn at the two hill churches, past the fire department, right at the lake, took the first left and drove many miles around 2 PM for around ten minutes into the forest. Punched in Google Maps just to be certain. Did a 180, drove back to where I was to take the second left, phone still flying around when I slam on the brakes too quickly, orange car in front of me at the gate, Clarence already did the firewood, so we cleaned out the slaughter house or chicken coup full of sticker bushes starting around 02:30 PM for almost four hours or so at 13/hr, he gave me 48. Sunny day. Funny dog. Took photos of the chickens etc. I used several tools, a slasher and especially an electric chainsaw. He used tractors, he burned the brush in a fire. Came back before like 06:30 PM. Takes like thirty minutes or less to get home. Books back in. Mom watching Star Gate still. Dinner: 07:07 PM. Dishes. Star Gate. Sorting. Food log: Breakfast: coffee, apple, soup stuff, 10:25 AM. Lunch: more of the soup stuff, 01:30 PM. Dinner: deer meat green beans soup, 07:07 PM. Toasted cheese bagel. Tea. Milk.
