If there be time 

Past,present and future I ride 

Shuffling through and through 

 

If there be time 

A gentleman I would be

Gallant and composed

 

If there be time 

A solider I would be with a sharpened gaze

With bayonet and arms

With chocolates for cartridges 

 

If there be time 

A scholar I would be

With titles and accomplishments to my name

A visionary with a vision

 

If there be time 

I would gaze backwards 

Mirroring my youthful years

I would be a boy 

Facing the world with innocent eyes 

 

If there be time 

I would sing and dance to the moonlight's tale and let my voice be heard..
