During the pandemic food was the major challenge in most parts of the world. Some countries didn't feel the hunger but some countries felt much more hungry. The hunger was due to two reasons . First is the keeping to the COVID-19 protocols which limited movements of people, goods and services therefore some workers lost their jobs and lived in the mercy of government or people of good will.
Not only did some families suffered hungry, school children got a dose of the suffering and those in rural areas were highly affected and after the pandemic, schools had to do fast track things to meet up with the academic calendar though tertiary institutions in Nigeria for example haven't balanced up meaning that it gave additional period of stay in school .
The COVID-19 didn't only leave negative impact on the record of the world but it has sweet records as well. During the lockdown, lots of creativity and paradigm shift occured. It during the time that technology was giving its due respect as good chunk of activities and events like meetings, conferences, teaching and learning buying and selling were virtually held.
Blogging and cryptocurrency investment got a good deal and working from home jobs gave hope and succur which till now still oils the lips of dedicated few . During COVID-19 pandemic.
The period of the COVID-19, farmers became the true kings almost every profession experienced some shake but farmers at least didn't feel hungry. Money power failed woefully as many had money but couldn't buy food the farmers had little or no money but had good food. I still appreciate God and the government of the world for the effort of combatting the virus.
Now that the pandemic is not fully with us , I still wonder why food cost more. Yesterday I decided to buy some potatoes and I was shocked at the price I was told but eating is a must I bought and I see reasons why you and I ought to grow at least the food we eat .
