Glance at the rabbit

On this occasion we will try to discuss this tame animal like a rabbit. In a biology textbook "Benign Animals" an expert explains extensively about rabbits which say that mammals are from the Leporidae family, which can be found in many parts of the earth. In the past, these animals were wild animals that lived in Africa to mainland Europe. In its development, in 1912, rabbits were classified in the Lagomorpha sequence. This order is divided into two families, namely Ochtonidae (smart whistling pika type) and Leporidae (including rabbit and rabbit species). Maybe you know this explanation and maybe you also have this animal in your own home.  The dictionary explains that the origin of the word rabbit comes from the Dutch language, namely konijntje which means "rabbit child". This shows that the people of the Archipelago (Indonesia) began to recognize rabbits during the colonial period, whereas on Sumatra there was one native Sumatran rabbit species (Nesolagus netscheri) which was discovered in 1972. You can read it in the 3rd grade junior high school history book which became a reference for learning history at school.  When you look at the shape of the fur, this rabbit consists of a type of short and long hair with a slightly yellowish color. When it is winter, the yellowish color turns gray as it does in the picture in my post. The experts define according to their race, rabbits are divided into several types, including Angora, Lyon, American Chinchilla, Dutch, English Spot, Himalayan, and others. Lyon in particular is actually the result of an outer cross between Angora and another race. But among ornamental rabbit breeders, the result of the crossing is called Lyon or Angora beating. Maybe this has become a popular thing in tame animal breeds.  In the Sumatra region there is a rabbit whose body length reaches 40 cm. The color is yellowish brown gray fur. Included in the category of free rabbits are terwelu (Lepus curpaeums) and wild rabbits (Oryctolagus cuniculus). But sometimes there are also larger sizes but not many. However, often there are rabbits whose size is as mentioned above. Thank you very much.
