Echoes of the Past

I
imjanson

In ancient halls, where echoes last,

Memories linger, forever cast

In stone and marble, grand and vast,

The echoes of the past.

Where warriors fought, with sword and shield,

And kings and queens, their thrones did wield,

The echoes of their deeds, still yield

A story, yet to be revealed.

Where lovers whispered sweet nothings,

And dances, to the beat of drums,

The echoes of their love, still sings

A melody, forever hums.

But time marches on, as it must,

And echoes fade, to dust,

Yet in our hearts, they still entrust

A legacy, forever just.

So let us honor, the echoes of the past,

For they are the stories, that forever last,

In ancient halls, where echoes last,

The echoes of the past.
