Atlético de Madrid has defeated Real Madrid and has made the merengue team lose the leadership of the tournament.
With this, FC Barcelona and Girona take the top of the standings, only separated by goal difference, in favor of Xavi Hernández's team.
To earn that position, the culés had to overcome a two-goal deficit against Celta de Vigo on Saturday. Before, Girona had beaten Mallorca at home.
Atletico Madrid won the Clasico with authority against Real Madrid.
World champions Nahuel Molina, who started the game, and Ángel Correa, who came on 41 minutes into the second half, were part of Atleti's celebrated win, who were without Rodrigo De Paul through injury.
Spain's Álvaro Morata (PT 4m and ST 1m) and France's Antoine Griezmann (PT 18m) were the scorers for Atlético, while Germany's Tony Kross (PT 35m) scored for the "merengue" team at the Metropolitano stadium in Madrid.

The Mallorcan side scored the first goal of the game, but Girona ended up taking the victory after conceding five goals.
Girona came in looking to pick up another win after winning their last two games in the competition. The most recent was against Granada away from home (4-2) and the other against Las Palmas at home (1-0) and they were currently on a run of four consecutive wins. As for the away team, Mallorca won their last game away from home 1-0 against Celta.
After the result, the home team remained at the top of LaLiga, while Mallorca was in fifteenth place at the end of the match.
The match started favourably for Mallorca, who took advantage of the play to open the scoring with a goal from the penalty spot by Vedat Muriqi in the 4th minute. However, Girona reacted and equalised thanks to a goal by David López in the 26th minute, and then the home side scored again through a penalty goal by Artem Dovbyk in the 33rd minute to make it 2-1 to Girona. After a further move, the Girona eleven increased their lead in the 37th minute through a goal by Iván Martín. The home side added another goal for the visitors, who increased the lead with a goal from Herrera just before the final whistle, in the 45th minute, concluding the first half with a 4-1 scoreline.
In the second half, Girona got a goal in the 57th minute through Sávio Moreira, but the visitors came closer thanks to a goal from Abdón Prats in the 88th minute. Afterwards, the Mallorcan eleven scored the second goal, which brought the scoreboard closer to 5-3 thanks to another goal by Abdón Prats, who scored a double in the 95th minute, during the extra time that the referee decided to add, ending the match with a definitive score of 5-3.
It was a match in which the coaches used up all their changes. For the home side, Stuani, Portu, Juanpe, Valery and Pablo Torre came off the bench to replace Artem Dovbyk, Tsygankov, Eric García, Herrera and Sávio Moreira. Mallorca's changes were Amath Ndiaye, Cyle Larin, Toni Lato, Abdón Prats and Antonio Sánchez, who came on for Van Der Heyden, Jaume Costa, Manu Morlanes, Samú Costa and Vedat Muriqi.
The referee gave yellow cards to six players, one for the home side and five for the visitors. For the home side the card went to Iván Martín and for the visitors to Samú Costa, Jaume Costa, Manu Morlanes, Dani Rodríguez and Matija Nastasić.
With this result, Girona move up to 16 points and remain in a Champions League qualification spot, while Mallorca remain on five points.
The next round of LaLiga fixtures sees Girona away to Villarreal, while Mallorca face Barcelona at home.
Barcelona recovered in time to turn around Celta Vigo to go top of the standings.
Xavi's side were 2-0 down, but Robert Lewandowski and Joao Cancelo came on to turn the game around in less than 10 minutes.
Barcelona did it again: they won again and confirmed their supremacy in La Liga. But, this time, it cost them a little more. Because Celta de Vigo, who had achieved a partial difference of 2-0, made them suffer until the 80', Robert Lewandowski and Joao Cancelo changed the story.
The Galicians, who had had some chances in the opening minutes and Marc-André ter Stegen managed to save, went back on the attack and made no mistake. It was Jorgen Strand Larsen who crossed to open the scoring after 19 minutes.

History seemed to be set. And so it was until the 81st minute when, with the clock ticking down to full time, Robert Lewandowski appeared to confirm his hierarchy and score. Not even five minutes had passed and the Pole, firm in the area like a good striker, tied the match.
Barcelona were dreaming. They were dreaming, because they had what they needed. They had what they needed: 60 seconds before the end of normal time, Joao Cancelo, one of the reinforcements of the season, made it 3-2, which left the Culés at the top of the table with 16 points.
