Brasil confirmó el mal momento por el que está atravesando y que ha llegado a su selección a quedar eliminada de los Juegos Olímpicos. En las eliminatorias sudamericanas para el Mundial 2026 a celebrarse en USA-Canada-México ocupa el ltimo lugar (ún con los seis clasificados que para esta edición tiene asignada Latinoamérica) detráas de selecciones como Venezuela y Ecuador, por ejemplo.
Y en el último Mundial de Catar su actuación fue desilusionante. Aún no tiene DT confirmado un hecho inédito para el fútbolo más poderoso del mundo.

Para Argentina fue una clasificación que se celebró por duplicado: para emitir su pasaje a los Juegos Olímpicos debió imponerse a Brasil, su clásico rival continental. Ángel González (arquero): el penal atajado a Endrick es uno de los momentos icónicos de la campaña de Paraguay. Un jugador completo, con marca, creatividad, pase, visión y despliegue. Fue uno de los líderes del conjunto de Javier Mascherano, el alma del mediocampo.
