Leo Messi and Aitana Bonmati were awarded as, respectively, best FIFA footballer of 2023 and best FIFA female footballer of the year. But who voted for them to determine their victory?

The awards were determined by the choices of national team coaches and captains, expert journalists and fans on FIFA.com, and the winners were revealed at a ceremony in London on 15 January.
Ederson and Mary Earps were elected best men's and women's goalkeeper, while Pep Guardiola and Sarina Wiegman celebrated as best coaches.
The Best FIFA Men's Player.
Winner: Lionel Messi (48 points)
Second: Erling Haaland (48 points)
Third: Kylian Mbappe (35 points)
Messi won a hard-fought match with Erling Haaland and Kylian Mbappe. With the 2022 World Cup winner and the Norwegian international locked on 48 points, the order of choices made by voters had to be resorted to, according to the voting rules (Article 12).
National team captains, including Kylian Mbappe, Harry Kane and Mohamed Salah, were among those who chose Messi as their best men's player. As Argentina's captain, Messi also voted for The Best, even though he couldn't select himself. Erling Haaland was his number one choice ahead of Mbappe and compatriot Julian Alvarez.
The Best FIFA Women's Player.
Winner: Aitana Bonmati (52 points)
Second: Linda Caicedo (40 points)
Third: Jenni Hermoso (36 points)
Bonmati won the award clearly beating Linda Caicedo and Jenni Hermoso. The award for best FIFA female footballer of 2023 is added to the adidas Golden Ball won at the end of the 2023 FIFA Women's World Cup.
Brazilian legend Marta, German Alexandra Popp and England manager Sarina Wiegman all voted for the midfield maestro as their best footballer.
The Best FIFA Men's Goalkeeper.
Winner: Ederson (23 points)
Second: Thibaut Courtois (20 points)
Third: Yassine Bounou (16 points)
The Manchester City goalkeeper was voted the best male number 1 for the first time. Ederson was voted for by his department colleague and Italian captain Gianluigi Donnarumma.
The Best FIFA Women's Goalkeeper.
Winner: Mary Earps (28 points)
Second: Catalina Coll (14 points)
Third: Mackenzie Arnold (12 points)
The England and Manchester United No.1 Earps won the award for the second year running after playing a starring role in her country's run to the Women's World Cup final.
She has been voted best female goalkeeper by players such as Australian Sam Kerr, Danish Pernille Harder and Swedish icon Kosovare Asllani.
The Best FIFA Men's Coach.
Winner: Pep Guardiola (28 points)
Second: Luciano Spalletti (18 points)
Third: Simone Inzaghi (11 points)
Guardiola clearly won the award for best men's coach after the extraordinary treble achieved with Manchester City in the 2022/23 season. He obtained the votes of the coaches Lionel Scaloni - winner of the last edition -, Didier Deschamps and Luciano Spalletti, who came second in the voting.
The Best FIFA Women's Coach.
Winner: Sarina Wiegman (28 points)
Second: Emma Hayes (18 points)
Third: Jonatan Giraldez (14 points)
England manager Sarina Wiegman has won the award for a record fourth time. Wiegman was the choice of other coaches such as Bev Priestman and German Britta Carlson, but also France captain Wendie Renard.
