Bayern Munich of Germany secured their place in the quarterfinals of the Champions League after an impressive 3-0 win over Lazio at the Allianz Arena. The Bavarian side, coached by Thomas Tuchel, struck early and emphatically to reverse the aggregate score and seal their qualification.

In a match that kept the spectators on the edge of their seats, both teams played an intense and balanced first half. Lazio sought to break the aggregate deadlock with a clear opportunity for Ciro Immobile, who missed a header from Luis Alberto's cross.

However, Bayern's response was swift and effective. Harry Kane, connecting with a header after an elaborate move involving Raphaël Guerreiro, Aleksandar Pavlovic and Thomas Müller, leveled the aggregate score.

Bayern's determination was evident when, near the end of the first half, Matthijs de Ligt took advantage of a rebound in the box and, with a powerful shot deflected by Müller, put the German team ahead in the series. In the second half, Bayern continued their dominance, with impressive team play leading to the third goal.

Leroy Sané tried his luck at goal and Kane capitalized on the rebound to seal his brace and secure his team's qualification.

The game continued in this fashion until the last minute of the 90', when Mikel Merino appeared with a powerful shot which, despite having hit Beraldo, went into the back of the net and the discount for the Spaniards. It was too little too late, however.

Thanks to the win, PSG booked their ticket to the next round of the quarterfinals and, for now, they can only wait for the draw, which is scheduled for next Friday, March 15.

Bayern qualified for the quarterfinals of the Champions League on Tuesday by beating Lazio 3-0 with two goals from Harry Kane and one from Thomas Müller to come back from a 1-0 defeat in the first leg.

Bayern needed the goals, but the first arrival was Lazio's with a deflected shot by Guendozi in the 5th minute. The shot had not carried much danger, but it was a sign that Bayern was going to face a game walking on the edge of the razor and trying to strike a balance between the urgency of scoring and the need not to give advantages in defense.

In the first half hour Bayern had the ball and chances, the best being a shot from Musiala in the 14th minute that Prodebel saved with his fists and another from Harry Kane in the 17th minute that the Lazio goalkeeper deflected for a corner.

But Bayern's dominance was interrupted by Lazio's relatively long spells of possession that took away from the flow and rhythm of the game.

Access to Lazio's box was difficult and each arrival cost the Bavarian side a lot against an entrenched opponent.

However, Bayern managed to break through the Roman wall. The first goal, scored by Kane, came in the 39th minute. The play started with a ball into the box from Pavlovic that Müller headed down to Raphael Guerreiro, who hit the ball badly, but Kane reacted and won the rebound to head home.

The goal gave Bayern some relief. Just two minutes earlier, Lazio had had their best chance with a deflected header from Immobile and the atmosphere was tense.

Bayern still needed a second goal to make the quarter-finals and it came from a corner in first-half stoppage time when Müller headed in Mathjis de Light's cross.

Bayern went into the break with the result they needed, but there was still the challenge of maintaining it and if possible increasing it in the second 45 minutes.

In the first quarter of an hour of the second half Bayern had plenty of possession, but in their own half, and their priority seemed to be to avoid turnovers.

Lazio were forced to do more and began to give Bayern space to exploit. In the 59th minute, Guerreiro had a good chance with a deflected shot from Kane's pass.

In the 66th minute came the third, scored by the English striker, who took advantage of a rebound after a shot by Leroy Sané that Probedel could not control.

The third goal was the definitive sentence. Bayern controlled the match and Lazio, except for a deflected shot by Luis Alberto, had no dangerous approaches.

El conjunto bávaro, dirigido por Thomas Tuchel, golpeó temprano y con contundencia para revertir el marcador global y sellar su clasificación.

En un encuentro que mantuvo a los espectadores al filo de sus asientos, ambos equipos protagonizaron un primer tiempo intenso y equilibrado. Lazio buscó romper el empate global con una oportunidad clara de Ciro Immobile, quien desaprovechó un cabezazo tras un centro de Luis Alberto.

El conjunto parisino de Luis Enrique brilló con la gran actuación de un encendido Kylian Mbappé quien fuela pieza clave ante los dirigidso por Imanol Alguacil.

Fue un inicio premonitorio para Mbappé quien, apenas a los 9’, arrancó con su característica velocidad por izquierda, dejó en el camino a Traoré y, con el pase a Barcelona, este remató y el portero Remiro evitó el gol.

Sin embargo, un arco que no duró mucho en cero puesto que, a los 15’, apareció la joya francesa quien recibió de Dembélé desde la izquierda, controló, recortó hacia dentro, dejó a Zubeldía en el camino y, tras un segundo enganche, remató al palo lejano lo que significó el primero del partido.

Mbappé tuvo el segundo en sus pies a los 29’, tras una gran jugada de Barcelona quien lo dejó tras el pase, pero Remiro nuevamente estuvo atento al remate para evitar el gol.

La Real Sociedad poco y nada puso hacer el primer tiempo, de hecho, solo a los 45’ antes del descanso, gracias a una diagonal de Takefusa Kubo quien remató de zurda y se fue levemente desviado.

Ya en el segundo tiempo, Mbappé apareció y aumentó el marcador para el local a los 55’. El delantero fue una pesadilla por la banda izquierda ya que recibió de Kang-In Lee, encaró sólo en velocidad y, en un claro mano a mano, definió sin problemas para el segundo gol.

La Real Sociedad despertó, pero tarde. El conjunto español comenzó a llegar al arco con ocasiones de Oyarzabal a los 64’ y de Merino a los 66’. De hecho, a los 64’, un gol de Barrenetxea instalaba la ilusión, pero fue anulado por adelanto.

Así prosiguió el encuentro hasta la agonía de los 90’, cuando Mikel Merino apareció con un potente remate el cual, a pesar de haber chocado en Beraldo, entró al fondo de la red y el descuento para los españoles. No obstante, ya muy tarde.

Gracias al triunfo, el PSG firmó su pasaje a la siguiente ronda de los cuartos de final y, por ahora, solo le queda esperar el sorteo el cual está programado para el próximo viernes 15/03.

La clasificación da esperanzas al entrenador Thomas Tuchel de seguir en el banquillo del equipo bávaro hasta el final de la temporada.

El Bayern se clasificó este martes a cuartos de final de la Liga de Campeones al derrotar por 3-0 al Lazio con dos goles de Harry Kane y uno de Thomas Müller, y remontó así la derrota sufrida por 1-0 en la ida.

El Bayern necesitaba los goles, pero la primera llegada fue del Lazio con un remate desviado de Guendozi en el minuto 5. El disparo no había llevado mucho peligro, pero era una muestra de que el Bayern iba a enfrentar un partido caminando sobre el filo de la navaja y tratando de lograr el equilibro entre la urgencia de hacer gol y la necesidad de no dar ventajas en defensa.

En la primera media hora el Bayern tuvo la pelota y ocasiones, las mejores un remate de Musiala en el minuto 14 que Prodebel paró con los puños y otro de Harry Kane en el 17 que el portero del Lazio desvío a córner.

Pero el dominio del Bayern era interrumpido por fases de posesión relativamente largas del Lazio que le quitaban fluidez y ritmo al partido.

Sin embargo, el Bayern logró romper el muro romano. El primer gol, marcado por Kane, llegó en el minuto 39. La jugada se inició con un balón al área de Pavlovic que Müller bajó de cabeza para Raphael Guerreiro, que le pegó mal a la pelota, pero Kane reaccionó y ganó el rebote para marcar de cabeza.

El gol daba cierto alivio al Bayern. Apenas dos minutos antes, el Lazio había tenido su mejor llegada con un cabezazo desviado de Immobile y el ambiente era tenso.

Todavía le hacía falta al Bayern el segundo gol para pensar en los cuartos de final y llegó en un saque de esquina en el tiempo añadido del primer acto, cuando Müller marcó de cabeza a centro de Mathjis de Light.

El Bayern se fue al descanso con el resultado que necesitaba, pero quedaba todavía el reto de mantenerlo y si era posible aumentarlo en los segundos 45 minutos.

En el primer cuarto de hora de la segunda parte el Bayern tuvo mucha posesión, pero en su propia mitad, y su la prioridad parecía ser evitar pérdidas de pelota.

El Lazio estaba obligado a hacer más y empezó a dar espacios que aprovechó el Bayern. En el minuto 59, Guerreiro tuvo una buena ocasión con un remate desviado a pase de Kane.

En el 66 llegó el tercero, marcado por el delantero inglés, que aprovechó un rebote tras un remate de Leroy Sané que no pudo controlar Probedel.

El tercer gol fue la sentencia definitiva. El Bayern controló el partido y el Lazio, salvo un remate desviado de Luis Alberto, no tuvo aproximaciones peligrosas.
