Barcelona will face Olympique Lyonnais in the final of the Champions League to be held on May 25 at the San Mamés stadium in Bilbao after the first two teams won their ties against Chelsea (0-1, 0-2) and the second against PSG (3-2, 1-2) respectively. This will be the fifth time that the two teams have met, and the third final, with the French side always winning.
Lyon made the result of the first leg count from the outset. It took them just 125 seconds to silence the Parc des Princes when Bacha struck with a left-footed shot from the edge of the area to send the ball into the cage.
The home side tried to respond immediately and played virtually in the opposition half, with Karchaoui the player who created the most danger. Picaud kept her side alive and PSG got back into the game - and the tie - with five minutes to go before the break when Chawinga took advantage of a through ball from Katoto to round her marker and beat Endler with a cross-shot.
Lyon missed several chances to take the lead in the early stages of the second half. Dumornay took advantage of a mistake by her marker to find herself alone in front of Picaud, who beat her one-on-one, and Horan met the rebound with a lob that landed on the roof of the home goal. The visitors had another chance soon after, first with a curling shot from Van de Donk and then a close-range rebound from Dumornay that was met with another save from Picaud. With ten minutes to go, Dumornay put the tie to bed when he finished off a cross from Becho that Majri put to sleep in the box.
Four precedents, four defeats.
Since making their European debut on September 26, 2012 - a 3-0 defeat to Arsenal - Barcelona have played 88 Champions League matches against 30 different opponents. The most frequent opponents for the azulgrana -six times- have been Rosengård, Wolfsburg and PSG, with Brøndby, Bristol Academy and Olympique Lyonnais being the ones they have never managed to beat. The French side, who lead the competition with eight trophies, are the only team to have won all their matches against Barcelona.
The first time the two sides met was in the quarter-finals of the 2017/2018 edition. The French won both at the Groupama Stadium (2-1) and at the Mini Estadi (0-1). They then crossed paths again in the 2019 final played in Budapest (1-4) and in the 2022 final held in Turin (1-3).
Barcelona have 6,800 tickets for their supporters.

El Barcelona ya ha comunicado que pondrá las suyas a disposición de socios, socias, peñas y público general con precios que oscilan entre los 15 y 25 euros. Los socios podrán adquirirlas en exclusiva el martes 30 de abril; las peñas el miércoles 1 de mayo; y el resto de aficionados a partir del jueves 2 de mayo.
