The important figure that FIFA will pay to each player who participates in the Women's World Cup.
A little over a month after the start of the Women's World Cup, FIFA made official its new economic distribution model for the participating federations. This unpublished list of figures includes funds destined to remunerate the players who are part of it.
The contest will provide a total sum of 152,000,000 dollars: this figure triples that of France 2019 and is 10 times more than that allocated in Canada 2015.
The difference is not only in the amount. It happens that, unlike other editions, part of the money will be redistributed directly among the players. Therefore, just for participating, each selection will receive a sum of $1,556,000.
"Thanks to this innovative payment system, the participating member associations will receive record compensation to promote the development of football in their respective countries, while the players called up by their national teams will have guaranteed remuneration for their performance in the competition," FIFA published. on their official page.
For the simple fact of participating in the group stage, the players who give the present in the World Cup will pocket $30,000 each. Already in the elimination stages, the amount will be different: 60,000 for reaching the round of 16 and 90,000 for a place in the quarterfinals.
The representatives of the selection that stays with the fourth place will secure 165 thousand dollars, while those who enjoy the third place will take a prize of 180 thousand.
For the runners-up, the individual price will be $195,000, while the winners of the contest will be able to keep $270,000 in their pockets.
