The local team scored the only goal of the game 12 minutes into the second half, through Lukas Lerager. After receiving an assist from Elias Achouri, the midfielder shot at the goal and beat the rival goalkeeper to score his goal.

With much suspense, Benfica beat Salzburg and secured their place in the Europa League.

The Encarnados were left out because victory was not enough for them but Arthur rescued them in the end and they were in third place in Group D.

Benfica went out to play decisively in Austria against Salzburg knowing that it needed to win head-to-head to secure qualification for the Europa League after a poor performance in the group stage of Group D.

And so he did during the first half. He managed the actions and after the first half hour of play he broke the parity. Ángel Di María took a corner kick and ended up scoring an Olympic goal since no one deflected it. Fideo himself made a great filtered pass to Rafa that he scored for 2-0.

A defeat by a single goal qualified him for the home team, so he went in search of that and in the second half he found the discount with a shot by Luka Sucic that inflated the net after a rebound. Anyway, when the clock was consumed Arthur saved the Portuguese who remain in Europe.

Benfica achieved that lead of two and will continue to compete in international competitions next year. For Salzburg everything ended, they were in fourth place by just one goal difference.

Manchester United lost to Bayern and was eliminated from the Champions League.

Manchester United could not get the victory it needed, losing 1-0 to Bayern Munich on the final day of the group stage at Old Trafford and being eliminated from the UEFA Champions League.

The English team reached the final day needing to add three points to maintain their chances of qualifying. The defeat not only left them out of the Champions League round of 16 but also out of the UEFA Europa League.

Bayern arrived at Old Trafford already classified as the leader but was an invulnerable rival for the team led by Erik Ten-Hag.

It was an even and closely contested match in the center of the field that did not have great scoring opportunities. Man United had no ideas or creativity to go in search of victory.

At 25 minutes into the second half, Kingsley Coman scored the only goal of the match and finished burying the hopes of the Manchester team.

This season, United are far from the top of the Premier League (they occupy sixth position) and have already said goodbye to the League Cup.
