Hello to the whole community, I have been asked by many people about what is orthodontic treatment and we can define it in a simple way.

 

We can say that orthodontics and dentofacial orthopedics is a specialty of dentistry, which is oriented to obtain function, health and aesthetics in patients, previously diagnosed with some malocclusion.

 

Crowded, separated, turned teeth are difficult to brush, this contributes to the formation of caries, gingivitis, periodontal disease and even tooth loss, on the other hand malposition, causes a malocclusion that results in an abnormal bite of the temporomandibular joint that can cause clicking, neuralgia, muscle pain of the face and neck, which are often confused with migraines.

 

The treatment consists of cementing devices called brackets on the enamel surface of the tooth, both upper and lower, on permanent teeth, and the treatment will last depending on the complexity of the case.
