Allah has sent mankind to this world for a limited time to follow His guidance and prepare for the everlasting life of the Hereafter.

“And the life of this world is nothing but a deceiving enjoyment.”

(Surah Al-Hadid, 57:20)

The true purpose of our lives is to attain the pleasure of Allah and enter Jannah.

Worldly life is temporary, but the life of the Hereafter is eternal.

The Qur'an reminds us:

“But the Hereafter is better and more lasting.”

(Surah Al-A‘la, 87:17)

Key Steps to Prepare for the Hereafter

1. Perform the five daily prayers on time
2. Recite and reflect on the Qur’an regularly
3. Live life according to the Sunnah of the Prophet ﷺ
4. Make frequent repentance and seek forgiveness (Istighfar)
5. Avoid haram and stick to halal means in all aspects
6. Give charity, help others, and promote good
7. Purify your intention do everything solely for Allah, not for show

Advice of the Prophet Muhammad ﷺ:

“Remember death often, for it destroys pleasures and prevents sin.”
