April 1st is celebrated worldwide as Jokes Day. The day is called "Odisha Diwas" or "Utkala Diwas", which commemorates the declaration of the Indian state of Odisha (formerly: Orissa Province) as a separate state from the provinces of Bihar and Orissa² . This day is also commonly called the day of lying, but this is not true.
On the occasion of April 1st we should remember that lying is a bad habit and we should avoid it. The Prophet (peace be upon him) said: "I am the guarantor of a house in the middle of Paradise for the person who stops telling lies even in jest."
On 1st April we should value honesty and truth in our life so that we can become a better person
