US Regulators Begin Integrating Crypto Into Traditional Finance

Since Donald Trump’s return to office, the US approach to digital assets has shifted from confrontation to structured integration. Rather than questioning whether crypto belongs in the financial system, regulators are now focused on defining how it should operate within existing financial frameworks.

Digital assets are increasingly treated as standard financial instruments, with Bitcoin and Ethereum gaining recognition as acceptable institutional collateral under traditional risk controls. Stablecoins are also moving closer to becoming regulated forms of digital cash.

This shift marks a move away from legal uncertainty and enforcement-driven regulation toward clear classifications that enable crypto to function within regulated markets. At the same time, expanded banking access for crypto firms is reducing friction and bringing them under federal supervision, signaling a transition from regulatory isolation to regulated participation.
