Dear Nigerians and the others it may concern

HiIt is selfish to give birth to children just so they could grow up to do for you what you couldn't do for yourself. 

It is high time the government started penalizing lazy parents that can't take care of the numbers of kids they brought into this world.

You can't just be popping out kids anyhow and somehow be hoping to use their innocence to emotionally blackmail others to cash out from the society for your selfish benefit. Why birth them when you can't even feed yourselves well?

Some of these selfish parents become full time liabilities to these innocent children they brought fort even before they turn adolescents, messing up that unique stage of their human development when they should be laying the foundations for their future.

I have come to the understanding that most of these people give birth mostly for the fear of lonely old age, and especially with the lack of government geriatric arrangement like old people's home and public welfare for the aged and homeless.

Some other sets believe having children will continue their lineage and name, so they go on popping out children anyhow, they don't even know that their names would no longer be remembered in just less than 100 years after they are gone. So what's the fuss...? 

Heck, I don't even know one complete story about the man(my great grandfather) I found myself bearing his name as surname, now the surname has changed to my name with my kids. So I ask, what about those that existed between that my great grandfather and me? Their names, lost in the oblivion of historical antiques?

You see? Just like you want your name retained the next person also wants his in that same page of history where one replaces the other. But really, to what essence if all your memory evokes is the dead-weight you assumed on your children the moment they started struggling to find their ground?

If you are really obsessed with keeping your name in the relics of time and archeologically referenced thousands of years after you have exited this world, build sustainable projects in your communities like schools, orphanages, public boreholes, Church cathedrals, Mosques or Civic centers and let it be named after you.

Gird up your loins for change is coming, we can't continue to fill up the whole place with the social misfits and disadvantaged humans you beget just because your miserable phallus won't stop roaming for every available hole to sow your unneeded seeds.
