With the sentencing, the first thing I thought of was, "will it be subject to appeal, bail after a couple of years?" The next was, "why 30? Was it a murder case? If he were white, would this judgment have been likely?" On second thought, is it self-hate when we say it was a deserving judgement for such crime? Or that there's something wrong with an African? Aren't all humans the same? But don't you get a little queer feeling that the African is a race with a natural flaw way different from every other race?
