When King Philip II of Macedonia was murdered in cold blood by one of his bodyguards, young Alexander was only 20yrs, and was the heir to the throne.
Some of the great war generals that had served under the fearless King Philip doubted if Alexander could lead them into war, for Greece had several enemies, notably the Persians under King Darius III.

But did Alexander silence his critics? You can bet he did. Infact he went on to become "Alexander the great"
In 334BC, he marched against Persia, and with an army of only 45,000 men, defeated the self acclaimed immortal Persian army of over 800,000 men. He marched against Egypt, and defeated the Pharaoh, and built a beautiful city there called Alexandria, that was to become the centre of world's earliest learning.
By 330BC, he marched against all of Europe, Japan's khong fu masters; China's invincible samurais who were skilled in the use of the sword than any known nation; and went as far as India.
By the time he died at the age of 33yrs, Alexander the Great had become the emperor of the whole world, and had made his father's palace the seat of world's government.
