IF A TREE FALLS IN A FOREST WITHOUT ANYBODY AROUND, WILL IT MAKE A NOISE?

Here is an interesting debate about the relationship between perception and reality. Is perception reality? If there is no perception, is reality invalidated?

I am in a quiet room deep on the countryside. The air is clean and nature bristles with raw life. There are no signs of modernity anywhere beside a few items of the building. 

But the very air is thick with all sorts of electromagnetic signals from radio and television stations across the world. There are phone signals beamed from microwave antennae flying across the spaces around, each picking its route according to its assigned frequency. In electromagnetic terms, I am immersed in a sea of sheer noise and silence is the last thing I should have 'if electromagnetic propagation of signals were real' - speaking from the perspective of aan that knows nothing asode from nature. 

Is love real? Well, the question then should be, What do you feel? You could live in a loving or a hostile relationship for long without being able to correctly interpret your experience. The day you do, everything changes for you. We experience this and it comes to us as great unveiling as we grow older and benefit from hindsight. That person (that relationship) has always been that way but somehow, we did not have the facility to correctly perceive and so interpret it. 

If there is abundance of love in your heart and there is nobody you shower it on (nobody is experiencing it), is there love in your heart? 

So, we are back to the question. Is perception reality or does reality have a cogent existence outside of our perception? 

Does reality have merit without the human experience? 

We can raise the bar by moving on to quantum physics which has demonstrated though the simple Double Slit Experiment the stunning relationship between perception and reality. I hope this does not sway the conversation at this point (aware that not many people are conversant with quantum physics any and they don't have to be or to even be interested to think and live deeply).

 I might bring in further explanations on that later in the comments. But for now, what are your thoughts?
