We represent a non-profit / unpaid project team that has the following goal:
- Get InfluenzaNet online as soon as possible, first in the Netherlands and then in other countries. The urgency will be evident. There is a need for more epidemiological insight into the current pandemic.
- Make more than 15 years of accumulated historical data (approx. 10 countries!) and expertise available to RIVM, GGD and other stakeholders, particularly in healthcare and science.
- Activate in good cooperation a process in which current measured values can be collected and shared by 'citizen science' through daily measurements, so that we can have additional statistics as soon as possible, complementary and supportive of what is currently available.
