He bagged a total of 101 goals in a total of 671 games, which is pretty uncommon for a defender. In total, Ramos lifted 22 trophies, many of them as a captain.
He’ll be remembered as one of the fiercest leaders in Real’s rich history. He managed to lead Real Madrid to three consecutive CL titles between 2016 and 2018. That’s probably his biggest feat, but he’ll be remembered for the fiery attitude and leadership on the pitch. It’s no secret that Real will miss him, as it’s tough to find such a leader who can lead the club to glory.
As for Ramos, he’ll find no suitors missing. Manchester United and City are reportedly in the race, with Roma, Milan, and other European giants chasing him as well.
One thing is for sure – wherever he goes, he’ll become a vocal leader, even at the ripe age of 35. For some players, age is just a number.
