I love ranting and it is always about Nigeria. It's not surprising why people say that we are living in mass hysteria. We are not doing ourselves justice and we are all guilty of this...both the citizens and those at the top. We all do what we feel is right in our eyes without fully understanding how deeper it goes for others. I don't understand what this world has turned into but Nigeria is leading the pack of them.
Everything is wrong with this country from the mismanagement of resources to bloodshed and looting. Don't even get me started on corruption and misplaced priorities. Everything is about winning the next election and nothing for the citizens. They are more concerned about playing politics than caring for the lives of the populace. How did we get to this point? How did we get to the point where human lives have no value? How did we get to the point where money and power overshadowed human lives?
When they get elected into positions, they are more occupied with how to win the next one which makes it hard for them to ever do anything. I don't know how we can get over this problem because even our votes don't count as much as we expect. If we pull efforts together to vote in someone we feel is right these greedy ones have their people strategically placed in positions where they can influence decisions and tamper with results.
The government have elements who do their dirty jobs for them and this is why when these sects perpetuate their dastard acts they cover it up and won't act on it. In all honesty, I am tired. I know other countries have their problem too but at least if the system is working fine other things can be worked on, at least. The system is wrong, there is no plan and it's a money-making venture for these politicians rather than public service. They act as though they are the ones doing us a favour. They act above the law and do things the way they want to do them and at this point, I wish I have superpowers.
Imagine having superpowers that make me invisible while I take them out one after the other. I want to send fears down their spine as they carefully think about taking up any office because the moment they don't live up to what they promise, they would be put down. Living in Nigeria would frustrate you to start imagining and thinking of nonsense. Imagine the kind of frustrated thinking I just had there.
Nigeria would want to test your sanity beyond the level that is expected but we can only hope and try to do things better individually with the hope it would at least make a difference in the end.
