What next for Arsenal? UCL dreams shattered.

At this point we can guarantee Tottenham Hotspur finishing ahead of Arsenal in the Premier League table, it would be a huge disappointment to Arsenal after all they have invested in every match until recently when they lost their confidence in their ability.

The moment Arsenal lost to Tottenham some days ago, I knew there was trouble for Mikel Arteta's side. Their remaining two games won't be easy and it happened that way, Tottenham had an easy fixture which turned out to be a difficult one but still, it wasn't because they squeezed out all three points against Burnley over the weekend. Arsenal failed to do the same and it would definitely affect their Uefa Champions League dream for the coming season.

Newcastle is a side that has transformed in recent times and I wouldn't be surprised to see them fighting for a Uefa spot next season, the new owner someone had a great influence on the team. Arsenal losing to Newcastle wasn't surprising even though I was expecting at least a draw from the encounter for Arsenal, they were shaky defensively and I knew they would suffer for it just like they did against Tottenham Hotspur.

Arsenal's defense cost them a lot in their encounter against their London rival, Holding conceded a penalty and ended up getting a red card. This time, it was Ben White who scored an own goal to put Newcastle in front in the 55th minute and you can tell how much that would have affected the team morale. Arsenal is definitely a great team and with the youngster improving every day, we can tell how awesome the team would be in a year or two from now but football isn't just about the future, every match determines the club's success every season.

With two points behind Tottenham, Arsenal's UCL dream is over. The two teams have just one match to go this season and judging from their opponents, I can tell that Arsenal might still drop more points.

Tottenham's last match will be against Norwich City and they need just one point to secure the fourth spot since they have a high number of goals than Arsenal, one point shouldn't be a problem for Spurs judging from their current form. Getting a point in the Liverpool fixture was the turning point for them and the player's experience in the team made a huge difference for the club, the impact of Harry Kane and Son can't be overlooked.

Arsenal on the other hand still has to play against Everton which wouldn't be an easy one on the final day of the league, the Merseyside club messed up their opportunity to sit safely above the relegation zone and will be fighting hard to avoid relegation on the last day of the league. Everton sits a point above Leeds and two points above Burnley and this makes their fixture against Arsenal a must-win because the result from that encounter would determine a lot.

If Everton lost and the team beneath them should win, they are automatically taking a break from the Premier League. They wouldn't want that and Arsenal would have to face the angry side of Everton which means there is a bigger chance of Arsenal not winning the match. The Europa League is not a bad competition, there is no assurance of winning the UCL so the team should just focus on giving their best in whichever competition they find themselves in.
