20 acre Marijuana Farm

The Ghana Police have come across a 20 acre land which is being used to cultivate marijuana. The land is in the Juaboso district of the newly created Western North Region.  [Source](https://www.dailyghana.com/news/local/police-hunt-20-acre-wee-farm-owners/) The Police is searching for the farmer(s) or individual(s) cultivating the India Hemp in the Krokosu forest on such a large scale in the Juaboso district of the Western North Region. The Forestry Commission, the military and the police on Monday organised a task force to go into the forest but did not see any farmer around. According to the Deputy Forestry Manager, Mr Yaw Obeng Asante, all the 20 acre farm might be set ablaze to deter people from destroying the forest to farm marijuana whiles they continue investigations to bring the farmer(s) to book. The Rastafari Council of Ghana is however calling for the legalisation of marijuana in Ghana and have already served a notice to the Supreme Court to seek an interpretation of the law that bans the use of marijuana. ***
