Greetings, my friends!
I am surprised by foreign old men. I love the way they live in old age. There are no complexes when they choose to live in a nursing home on their own.
Apparently, it takes a special mindset, because they want to live a life of pleasure in old age as well. Those who understand that pleasure in old age is being able to socialize with their peers and receive necessary medical care.
A friend of mine has a French mother-in-law who decided on her own she needed to go into a nursing home. Just recently, she celebrated her 90th birthday. She gathered her adult children and announced her decision and the need to sell her home to pay for her upkeep in the nursing home.
According to a friend of mine, my mother-in-law needed nothing. They left her with a pension from her husband. She lived in a private house, a tan house, where there were neighbors she knew, she socialized with them. Her eldest daughter lived near her mother, so she visited her every day. The son - my friend's husband went to her 3 times a month for the weekend with her granddaughters. That is quite a communication with the madam. But apparently she felt lonely. I do not know.
But something drove her to the decision to go to the nursing home. By the way, this institution is near to her own home. Madame voluntarily left her home, where she had lived for many years. All the household utensils, nothing she took with her, only her clothes.
But as my friend says, they visit her in the nursing home, just looked better for these two months. Just flutters about, tells me how great the elderly people live there. Just recently celebrated one lady's 110th birthday! They lit up like young people! A buffet, music, dances!
They did not bore her at all, she keeps in touch with her children! She made a lot of friends, talked and talked to each other. Holidays, birthdays...I guess she has no time to think about her age and illnesses.
They sold her house the other day. All the money will go to her care in a nursing home. The monthly amount of her care there is 2700 euros. That's not a lot. But maybe that's better than sitting alone in a house, and saving up money in an account to leave something to the children as an inheritance?
Yes. To live to the last day in pleasure, because we are guests on earth, and our life span flies by almost as one day, before you know it, and already 50 years have passed and the children have grown up. One more look, and you're already 80 years old. You are still young at heart, but everybody treats you as an old man and nobody understands that your soul does not grow old. Only your joints and vessels do not work as they did when you were young.
I rejoice for this madam from France. And I remember perfectly a movie about "one-story America," when V. Posner told me that in America there are whole villages of pensioners, where they live in their houses, do all kinds of applied crafts, attend all kinds of courses and circles of interest. Together they celebrate holidays, birthdays, they have a lot of communication and life is interesting, they go on trips. They live their lives to their satisfaction and do not interfere with their children's lives.
Who thinks about the topic? What is your opinion? I'm interested in hearing your opinion.

Youth is therefore its main symptom.
Youth is therefore its main symptom
