The 23-year-old French World Cup winner will earn $128 million this season.
Mbappe's PSG teammate Messi is second on the list.
Argentina will earn 120 million USD from this forward. Manchester United's Portuguese winger Ronaldo is in third position with 100 million USD income.
The remaining two members of the top five are - Neymar Jr. and Mohamed Salah. PSG's Brazilian forward Neymar's income for the 2022-23 season is about 87 million US dollars. And Liverpool's Egyptian forward Salah's income is 53 million US dollars.
Former England captain David Beckham topped the latest list before Ronaldo and Messi. The former star of Manchester United and Real Madrid became the highest paid footballer in 2013.
