Brazil's Danilo in Nottingham on a 6-and-a-half-year deal

Brazil's highly promising footballer Danilo has been drawn into the team by Nottingham Forest. The young midfielder has joined the Premier League club from Palmeiras on a six-and-a-half-year deal.

Nottingham announced the signing of 21-year-old Danilo in a statement on their website on Monday. It cost them 1.6 million pounds.

Danilo has played 141 matches in all competitions for the Brazilian club. He won several other titles for the team, including two Copa Libertadores.

Danilo, who won the club's player of the year award in 2022, was being chased by several European clubs. Nottingham were excited to win that fight and bring him to their camp.


"We are delighted to welcome Danilo to our club and our city," said the club's sporting director Filippo Giraldi. He is a wonderful talent. He is going to be a great asset to Nottingham Forest now and into the future."

Danilo is very happy to get the chance to play in the English league. The club's website said about that excitement.

Danilo will wear the number 28 jersey in Nottingham.

In the current Premier League, Nottingham is in 13th place with 20 points from 5 wins and 19 draws so far. They will face Bournemouth next Saturday.
