Pele will spend Christmas in the hospital

Football legend Pele will spend this Christmas in hospital due to kidney and heart problems. He is admitted to the Albert Einstein Hospital in Sao Paulo, Brazil.

According to doctors' reports and family comments, Pell's cancer condition has worsened. He will have to get treatment from the hospital.

Pele was admitted to the hospital in late November. After that, it is known that his physical condition has improved. But in the latest statement, the hospital authorities said that the only footballer who won three World Cups will have to be under closer supervision.


Kelly Nascimento, Pele's daughter, reported his physical condition on social media.

“We will not be celebrating Christmas at home this time. We have taken this decision in consultation with the doctors for several reasons. It will be great to be here for the new family at Albert Einstein Hospital.”

Pele was taken to the hospital as part of a routine check-up in early September last year due to some physical problems. It was there that he was diagnosed with a tumor in his colon and underwent surgery. He returned home after staying in the hospital for about a month. Since then he was undergoing regular chemotherapy.
