Utility
Utility is a very important aspect when investing in any cryptocurrency.....
Before you invest your money in any cryptocurrency, you have to ask yourself a simply question... What is this project being used for or what does this project aim at solving.
This particular aspect is very essential for long term crypto investments. Value is the simple thing that will make people want something or adopt something...
The more people start adopting a particular crypto project, the more the value rises.
Bitcoin has been the top crypto project not just because it's the first mover but also it provides value to the world such as
-fast cross border payment
-Authenticity of information
-Store of value
-Decentralization
-Cost effective in transactions
And so on and so forth.
Bitcoin solved major problems facing the world. Although it's potential is still being explored.
I'm not saying that only crypto with utility make money. Of course there are meme tokens which has even risen faster than bitcoin in a short while, but they end up getting dumped.
Projects that offer lasting value will last and also enjoy adoption and it's investors will enjoy increasing returns. Most pump and dump schemes don't try to provide value to the world. They only make money to early investors whose plan is to run with people's money.. Sometimes, they don't last more than 3 months.
But I must stress this, because a crypto project plans to provide value shouldn't make you to just jump into it. You have to also check the quality of problem they're trying to solve. Are they solving a million dollar problem or a billion dollar problem?
What's the market cap of the problem they're trying to solve...
Looking at this helps you understand the gain potential of the crypto. If a crypto is trying to solve a million dollar problem, it means the crypto will not return much compared to a crypto project that aims to solve a billion dollar problem. It's left for you the investor to do your due diligence.
I still remain my humble self @fampiano.
Thank you.
