Fish cultivation is one of the common activities of Bangladeshi culture. Many of the families are involved with these activities. And you know Bangladesh is in the 4th position in the world in case of Fish cultivation. So, it's a great achievement for Bangladesh which is just about 147 thousand square kilometer area. The area is limited but people are involved with these activities and we have enough land available for Fish cultivation that is the beauty of this country. Many of the land of the country is low lying and that's why it is very much possible for many of the farmers to cultivate fish especially in the rainy season.

But there are some problems in the rainy season as well because when we just try to cultivate more fishes and sometimes due to the high level of water or flood the fishes goes out from the pond. This is very common practice in rainy season that the farmer faces a lot. In that reason they try to make some fans with the net so that they can protect their fishes for going out of the pond. It is wonderful but always it is struggling to protect the fishes when the water level goes very high. If you just think about the challenges of the farmer this is one of the best challenges they need to face especially in the rainy season. But another problem is about the price. Sometimes they don't get the enough price to meet up their expenses. It is very common phenomenon that they need to at least maintain the cost by selling the fish. The price of the food of the Fish cultivation is growing higher that is another challenge for the farmers.
In the photographs you can see me and my brothers along with another cousin are trying to set up the fence to protect our fishes from getting out of the pond. It is not a tough job but challenging because you need to put the fence with the same taste of line of water level growing up and down. This is physical the pond of my brother and I am helping him to to make the fence on the pond.
