Polymer clay soutache. Create a decoration for the Crocheted pink bag. DIY (from my creative archive #12)

In the previous article I showed you a bag that I crocheted and promised to show a jewelry made of polymer clay, which I made specially for her.
It is made in the technique of imitation soutazh. You may want to decorate your handbag or clutch in a similar way.

For work are required:

* polymer clay of several colors
* office knife or blade
* stacks or toothpicks
* tile as a work surface
* pasta machine or rolling pin for rolling plastic
* extruder syringe for extruding sausages
* various beads, rhinestones, large beads

Mash plastic. I mixed pink with white in different proportions and got three shades of different saturation, which I will use. The photo shows what extruder nozzles I used.

I roll in a pasta-machine layer of pink color, which will be the basis for the composition. I put it on the tile and level it out, expelling air bubbles.

For the central element of the decoration, I decided to use a glass lens and make the effect of dichroic glass. For this, I used the remainder of the layer with a leaf, which I made earlier and stored in food film.

I attach the lens with the substrate on the reservoir base.
This will be the center of the decoration.

Now I begin to "wrap" it from all sides with "threads" of polymer clay.

I alternate the strings of different colors and spread the pattern, "weaving" (pressing and fixing with polymer clay) beads and rhinestones.

I advise you to first lay out the right or left side, and then repeat it in mirror image from the opposite side.

Dotsom ball walked on the white threads, giving them a light texture.

A brush for manicure patterns slightly dyed some threads with golden eye shadow.

Now you need to carefully cut the decoration to separate it from the excess part of the base plate.

After that, bake in the oven in accordance with the instructions on the packaging of my polymer clay.

I used this jewelry as a decoration for a bag, but in such a technique you can make earrings, necklace, ring or brooch. It all depends on your needs and desires.

I glue the threads and a piece of fabric from the back so that you can attach the jewelry to the bag. I used a hot glue gun.

Decoration will be tied to the bag with the help of these threads. Thanks to this, it will always be easy to remove if you need to wash your purse. Or you can make several options for decor and change them, then your bag will look different every time.
