Stylish bag knitted from rings. Crochet with your own hands

I will show you how the original bag made from available and not very expensive materials. I want to try something new and learn.
Inspiration for this work came to me after I stumbled on the Internet for a few photos of a similar finished model. The explanations and the master class were not attached to the photo, but I really liked the idea and I decided to try to make such a handbag.

In order for the bag to keep its shape and be strong, rings are required that can be tied around. I purchased rings for curtains, or as they are correctly called 8-cm-holes, (on the outer side of the ring).
Each grommet consists of two halves, which are easily separated. Since the bag needed 32 ringlets, I bought 16 grommets, respectively.

Used Macrame yarn and crochet hook. It took me almost three hanks for everything.

It is necessary to tie each ring separately.

For starters, do a loop.

Then I put it on the ring, start the thread in the manner shown in the photo and knit it in one step.

And so I move on until I tie the whole circle.

I cut the thread.

I tie the ends into several knots and tighten well.

Now you need to hide the ends of the threads so that they do not spoil the look of the ringlet.
To do this, I hook the hook under several knitted loops and pull the thread, leaving it under them.

It turns out neat ring, the same on both sides. Tying one ring takes about 10-15 minutes.

The next step is to assemble the rings into the product.
In order to make it easier to do this, I laid out the rings in the order in which they will be located.
This is a kind of "pattern".
Four corner ringlets will be used to connect the sides. I use them at the very end.

To connect the rings, I cut the pieces of the thread 15-20 cm. I tied two rings together with such thread, and then, hiding the extra thread under the binding, took the thread to the next connection, and so on. This stage of work seemed to me the most difficult and long. It took me three evenings to gather all the rings together.

When the bag is collected, the extra threads need to be cut off and hide the ends.

It turns out such a "string bag").

The next stage - the manufacture of pens. Alternatively, you can use embroidery hoops, which are tied around like rings and then attached to the bag.
I did not manage to buy the hoop (for some reason they ended up in all the needle shops at the same time).
But I found a solution to this problem on my own.
I had some very strong and tough bases for the rims.

In size, they were ideally suited as handles for handbags. Therefore, I tied them and attached them to the upper extreme ringlets of the handbag. The ends of the rims bent round-nose pliers (it was really not easy, but they will be held securely) and closed the joint points with a string so that they are completely tied.

Since (much to my regret!) I am not able to sew, I asked a friend to sew me an inner case with a snake. It looks just like a big cosmetic bag, which is inserted into a handbag and stitched in some places to the ringlets.
Bag sizes 35 cm. (Width), 22 cm. (Height to the handles), 8 cm. (Bottom width).

Now the bag is completely ready for use!
