Data science can be described as the art of extracting meaningful insights from data, combining mathematical and statistical analysis, machine learning, and domain expertise to make informed decisions and predictions.
Imagine you have a big box full of colorful toys. Data science is like using magic glasses to look into a box and find out interesting things about the toys. You can figure out which toys are the most popular, which ones kids like the most, and even predict what new toys might be popular in the future. It's like being a toy detective and using clever tricks to understand and learn cool things from all the toys inside the box! Data have been with us since the creation of the world, but with the invention of modern technologies such as Python, R, SQL, BI, NoSQL, Excel, etc., These modern technologies triggered the quest to collect and process more data in our everyday lives; we generate trillions of terabytes of data worldwide every day.
