"STAND AND KEEP STANDING...DON'T FALL"

> ### Finally, my brethren, be strong in the Lord, and in the power of his might. 11 Put on the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil. 12 For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places. 13 Wherefore take unto you the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand. 14 Stand therefore, having your loins girt about with truth, and having on the breastplate of righteousness. (EPHESIANS 6:10-14)  ### INTRODUCTION: ###

This study is a call to steadfastness, a challenge to the believer to remain alert and resolute against the subtleties of the devil. Often, believers are miserably floored by the tempter’s wiles because the believer is neither sensitive nor guarded against the antics of Satan.

### The scripture demand that we stand: (1 Corinthians 16:13, Galatians 5:1, Philippians 1:27) — and keep standing in the Lord (on the side of the Lord) winning in every temptation and enjoying victory.  ### BELOVED, BE SENSITIVE TO THE FOLLOWING. DON’T BE OVERTAKEN UNAWARES: *** ### 1 Each day comes with its sufficient evils. > Take therefore no thought for the morrow: for the morrow shall take thought for the things of itself. Sufficient unto the day is the evil thereof. (Matthew 6:34) > Be sober, be vigilant; because your adversary the devil, as a roaring lion, walketh about, seeking whom he may devour. ( 1 Peter 5:8) > And the Lord said unto Satan, Whence comest thou? Then Satan answered the Lord, and said, From going to and fro in the earth, and from walking up and down in it. (Job 1:7). ### Be wise, stand strong on daily basis. *** ### 2 If you allow the devil to defeat you in that temptation, he would have stolen, killed or destroyed you in one way or another. > The thief cometh not, but for to steal, and to kill, and to destroy: I am come that they might have life, and that they might have it more abundantly.(John10:10) > Neither give place to the devil. (Ephesians 4:27) > And that they may recover themselves out of the snare of the devil, who are taken captive by him at his will. (2 Timothy 2:26.) *** ### 3 The devil is defeated, so stand against him. > He that committeth sin is of the devil; for the devil sinneth from the beginning. For this purpose the Son of God was manifested, that he might destroy the works of the devil. ( 1 John 3:8) > Forasmuch then as the children are partakers of flesh and blood, he also himself likewise took part of the same; that through death he might destroy him that had the power of death, that is, the devil. (Hebrews 2:14) > Whom resist stedfast in the faith, knowing that the same afflictions are accomplished in your brethren that are in the world. (1 Peter 5:9)  ###
