POWER OF MENTORSHIP: LESSONS FROM ESTHER’S MAIDENS

> ### Go, gather together all the Jews that are present in Shushan, and fast ye for me, and neither eat nor drink three days, night and day: I also and my maidens will fast likewise: and so will i go in unto the king, which is not according to the law; and if I perish, I perish. (Esther 4:16)  ###

One of the greatest secret to living a glorious life is early connection to right mentoring.

 ### Esther’s maidens were able to obey the call to fasting because: ### - Esther taught them the secret of fasting and prayer. ### - Esther mentored them in the practice of fasting and prayer. ### - Esther showed them the result of prayer and fasting. > “... I also and my maidens will fast likewise; and so will I go in unto the king” (Esther4:16)  ### LESSONS ESTHER'S MAIDENS LEARNT FROM ESTHER'S LIFE: *** ### 1 Spirituality and integrity is superior to beauty in all matters of destiny. > “Favour is deceitful, and beauty is vain; but a woman that feareth the Lord, she shall be praised” (Proverbs 31:30).  ### 2 Pursuing beauty while neglecting spirituality and character equals vanity. Character solidifies beauty. > “But the queen Vashti refused to come at the king’s commandment by his chamberlains: therefore was the king very wroth, and his anger burned in him” (Esther 1:12).  ### 3 Humility and modesty gives lasting dignity and value to beauty. > “And the maiden pleased him, and she obtained kindness of him, and he speedily gave her things for purification, with such things as belonged to her, and seven maiden, which were meet to be given her, out of the king’s house: and he preferred her and her maids unto the best place of the house of the woman” (Esther 2:9).  ### 4 Temporary lack or poverty should never be allowed to derail your spirituality. > “Esther did not reveal [the Jewish background of] her people or her family, for Mordecai had instructed her not to do so” (Esther 2:10 AMP).  ### 5 Calamity and shame awaits anyone who despises and disregards mentoring and counsel. > “For by wise counsel thou shalt make thy war: and in multitude of counsellors there is safety” (Proverbs 24:6).

Beloved, there are things to learn through mentoring. Submit yourself to learn, observe and apply these lessons so you can rise and shine early in destiny.
